Weight...."Watcher" Right???

On Monday I showed up at a new member weight watchers meeting. I have been there before. In fact, after having Kenadee AND Morgan I got frustrated not being able to lose the last 5 or so pounds. So each time I wound up at weight watchers, AND IT WORKED!!! It's been 9 months since I had my 3rd beautiful girl Tenlee and I have found myself in the same predicament, but this time it's more like 8 or 9 pounds. I have fought with myself for the past month or so because I want to lose the weight, but my motivation as far as eating better hasn't been there until Monday. That is when I decided it was time, time to take control and remember how to eat better and get the rest of this baby weight off.
I excitedly walked into the building ready to go.....but they didn't seem ready for me. The last two times I did it I didn't feel welcomed at all. Luckily it only took me 2-3 weeks of doing the program to lose the weight, so I stopped going. Each time, and Monday was no exception, they made me feel as if I am an alien and have no right to be there. Not only do the other ladies that are there to lose weight give me weird looks and whisper to their friends, but the ladies that WORK there treat me the exact same way. Monday night was a lot worse than my two previous times going. I walked up to the counter where you sign the papers, pay your money, and get all the information. I stood there for a good 5 minutes waiting to be helped. The two women behind the counter watched me walk in and immediately looked at the desk PRETENDING to have something way more important to do. How do I know this? Because as soon as this heavier woman walked through the door a few minutes later, they greeted her with open arms and started getting her all signed up. I was beyond frustrated!! I continued to stand there, and FINALLY one of the ladies said "Can I help you?" I told her I want to sign up..."This is a new member class isn't it?" She shook her head and said yes. She proceeded to tell me, "Well honey you look so tiny so I'm gonna have to weigh you first and see if you even qualify to do it." ARE YOU SERIOUS? She should just be happy to take my money...right? No! She weighed me and looked at her charts. Everyone has a range for their age and height at what is considered to be a "normal, healthy" weight. She told me I could do it, but they would only let me lose 8 lbs because that puts me at the lowest "healthy" weight. I explained to her I have done this 2 times before and am perfectly aware of that. I know I am not huge and don't have a ton of weight to lose, but MY "normal" is not where I am at now. My goal is to just lose those 7-8 pounds to get to my pre-baby size. She listened to my spill and said ok she would sign me up. I was so mad at how they treated me! I TOTALLY understand that there are people bigger than me, but I need to be happy with myself RIGHT?? It is weight "WATCHERS" right?? I am not coming to be a twig or look too skinny. I am here to "WATCH" what I eat and be a healthier me.I am doing it to force myself to eat healthier and lose a few pound...then I'm done.
After I came home frustrated, I had to remind myself to stop worrying about what other people think of me. I am the one that has to be happy with myself! There are ALWAYS going to be people bigger than you, no matter what size you are! I can't worry about that, and worry about those people who might be mad because I am smaller and STILL think I need to lose a few. I am doing it for ME, not for anyone else. Sorry, just had to vent a little! ha ha

This Little Piggy

For those of you who don't know, my cute future sis-in-law Camree grew up in Morgan on a farm. She has two pigs that recently had a lot of little piglets. I thought it would be fun to take the girls up there to see them! Fun was an understatement. Kenadee loved them, but Morgan LOVED them. She would have brought one home with us if I would've let her. She was so funny to watch! One of the baby pigs started pooping right next to her and she thought it was the coolest, funniest thing. Not only did she stay in the pig pen, she rolled around in there with all the babies. (Disgusting, I know) She had fun though! Kenadee kept trying to be the mom, like always, and would say "Morgan, don't get too close. Morgan be careful." Morgan was a little braver than Kenadee! Thanks Cam for letting us hold your adorable baby piglets.
(Josh told me while we were up there that Camree thought most people have seen baby pigs. He had to educate her telling her that MOST people haven't seen baby pigs!)
One of the mom's that was due in a couple of days.
Feeding her babies.

Morgan jumped right in!

So funny!

How cute are they, seriously! The only piglets I have seen is on Charlottes Web!

It happened a couple months ago (aparently I forgot to tell a few people...oops!). Here are a few pictures of the cute couple. I couldn't be happier to be adding Camree to the family. I always warned Josh he'd better find someone I get along with, and he did just that. She is now one of my besties! Love ya girl!!

SURPRISE!!!!

So here are a lot of pics from Christmas Eve....which happens to be my second favorite day of the holiday season. We go up to Mantua where my Grandma and Grandpa Hansen live. All my dads brothers and sister, their kids, and their kids come. It NEVER dissapoints, and this year was no different. The pics ended up in a random order and I am to lazy to fix it! Enjoy!
Every year all the cousins end up playing some weird amazingly fun game my cousins John and Aubrey teach us. This year my siblings and I were excited to have the game to teach. It is called Ninja. It is the funniest game to play, and might be even funnier to watch....i mean c'mon, you cant tell me they don't look ridiculous! We spent a LONG time entertaining everyone while playing this....maybe one day I will share the rules so you can play too!

Nikki is really good at it and usually ended up in the final two!

OOPS!!

I was going through my pictures and realized I never posted Morgans birthday pictures! I know, I am terrible. It's never too late is it? Well, my little Morgy turned 3 on September 24th. She is the cutest little thing and I LOVE having her around. She is constantly making me laugh. Some of her favorite things are: anything dora, anything hannah montana, singing to taylor swift, dancing, and playing outside. I love her so much!

Here are some pictures from her parties. It is so hard to get everyone together on the same night, so we had a Thomas party and then a Hansen party on her actual birthday. She had so much fun!

Morgan and Kembrie

Some of the Thomas cousins. They LOVE playing together!

She HAD to have this cake!

13th article of faith

I just wanted to share this video and song of Jenny Phillips. I LOVE the song and was able to be in the studio while some of it was recorded. Jenny is so talented and I am so lucky to be able to be a part of her fireside group. Some of you have been asking me when Jenny's cd comes out that I was able to sing on. It is finally done and you can purchase it on her website at jennyphillip.com. It is called Sabbath Morning. It was all done by our firside group and is such a good Sunday cd to listen to. I am also on Remember the Journey which you can purchase on her website as well.

Hope you enjoy this song as much as I do. It is going to be on her young women cd coming out soon.
