What a Guy!

Chet had to go to Florida for work for a few days this last week. I was so jealous he got to go to the warm weather! He golfed at a famous golf course (don't remember the name) and loved every second of it. He stayed near Disney World, so I think to make us jealous he sent us this picture. When I showed it to Kenadee she said, "Mom when do I get to go there?" We still haven't taken the kids there or Disney Land. Maybe one day we'll make it there! When Chet got home, the girls were so excited. Kenadee is a daddy's girl and missed him so much. He surprised them with a huge lollipop that was about as big as Morgan. He also got Kenadee her very own purse. She already rounded up a bunch of change to put in it. She told us that she has a lot of money now so if we need to borrow any, that would be fine with her. What a girl! Morgan got a princess backpack which she loves so much. She puts all of her favorite treasures in it and pretends she is going to school. They are so lucky to have such an awesome dad that spoils them so much!!

Internet: good and bad

So yesterday I went to my regular pregnancy checkup and found out some not so great news. The umbilical cord only has 2 vessels. They normally have 3; 1 vein that carries all the nutrients and oxygen to the baby, and 2 arteries that carry the waste away from the baby. Mine only has 1 artery which is called a '2 vessel cord.' My doctor said it is nothing to lose sleep over, but c'mon really? I totally lost sleep last night and it is all I can think about. They checked the kidneys which can be a problem with only 2 vessels, and thankfully they look great. They did a targeted ultra sound and everything so far on the baby looks totally normal. He said he isn't too worried and this problem is pretty common. You can have a healthy pregnancy and baby with this problem. He said just as a precaution, he wants to see me every 2 weeks for the next month and then every week until I have the baby. They just check the weight of the baby at every ultra sound to make sure she is growing on schedule. Sometimes with only 2 vessels, the baby's growth slows down in the 3rd trimester. If this happens they would have to start me a few weeks or so early.

After finding all this out, I was a little freaked out. Being the retard that I am, I came straight home and looked on the internet. What I found made me freak out even more. I HATE the internet!! lol After my long talk with the doctor, him reasurring me everything should be ok, I felt good about it until I got home and read everything that 'could' happen. Why do I do that to myself. I hope and pray everything turns out ok! After going through my 2nd misscairage before this pregnancy, it has made this even harder for me. I fear the worst! Any comments and advice are welcome!! I will keep you all updated on how it goes!

My New Nephew

Baby Daxton is here. Brandi had boy #2 Wednesday at 4:48 p.m. He was 9 lbs 21 in. I still haven't gotten to hold him and it is KILLING me!! The hospital didn't allow kids up there and I never could find a babysitter. She just got home tonight so I am going over there whether they like it or not! I took this at the hospital right after she had him and will put more on after I hold him tonight.

Live Like You Believe

Most of you know that I am in a fireside group with my friend Jenny Phillips. She is so talented! She writes amazing music and has even written a short book. It has been so much fun being able to go to different wards and stakes all over Utah and share my talent and the gospel. Jenny wrote this song and just finished a video to go along with it. The Return of Elder Hansen

So I thought I would fill those in who didn't already know. My brother is FINALLY home from his mission. Ok, so he has been home for 3 months but I am still so excited about it. We have always been such good friends, so 2 years seemed like FOREVER. He served in California and loved it, but we are so glad he is back. Kenadee missed him so much. He was her absolute favorite person, besides Nikki. We have been enjoying having him around. We spend hours playing Super Mario Bro. on the WII and feeding him and his friend Tyker. Chet tries to relive his "single" days by giving them girl advice...we'll see if any of it works!

Christmas Time

Christmas was a blast. Santa made it to our house and brought WAY to much stuff! The girls were so cute and loved everything they got.
